The Bear Essentials – 6″ x 1/2″ Large Ferro Rod & Tungsten Striker Fire Starter Survival Kit, Reflective Paracord, Waxed Hemp & Burlap Sack -20,000+ Strikes

Striker + Sharpener – Our dual purpose Tungsten Carbide Striker sets a new standard for Ferro Rod kits. It sharpens tools and axes just as easily as it strikes sparks. Designed with a full size rubberized grip and a true 90° edge that’s harder than steel. Shave off filings of ferrocerium with ease and produce a shower of sparks reliably and effortlessly every time.
A Soft Ferro Rod – Our Ferro Rod comes in at 6” with a 1/2″ diameter. The composition of our rod allows for material to be easily shaved off, while throwing off a thicker and more intense shower of sparks. The softer rod also produces sparks that burn hotter and longer, igniting tinder even in the most challenging of environments.
Beginner Friendly – The combination of our 6” Soft Ferro Rod and our full sized Tungsten Striker creates a forgiving product that doesn’t require the perfect technique to work. Ideal for those new to Ferro Rods or for experienced users looking for reliable performance in less than ideal conditions.
